O que é o rio senão uma imitação da vida?

Um fluxo constante, uma ativa jornada,

De ir em frente, com suas forças e fraquezas,

Águas claras ou enegrecidas de lodo, todas certezas.

 

O rio segue, sem poder voltar para trás,

Com a determinação ir até o fim, se estender

Com o claro objetivo: deixar de ser e se perder,

No oceano infinito, onde o rio se desfaz.

 

Assim como nós, o rio corre para desaparecer,

Em um destino certo que não podemos deter,

Mas no caminho há beleza, há vida a se viver,

E cada curva, cada canto, cada espaço a percorrer.

 

O rio nos ensina que a vida é um fluir constante,

Um ir em frente, mesmo diante da adversidade,

Com forças fortes ou fracas, o rio segue avante,

E nos lembra que também tem sua beleza e verdade.

 

O que é o rio senão uma imitação da vida?

Um fluxo constante, uma ativa jornada.

WHAT IS THE RIVER

What is the river if not an imitation of life?

A constant flow, an active journey,

Moving ever forward, with its strengths and weaknesses,

Waters clear or darkened by silt—all certainties.

 

The river flows on, unable to turn back,

Determined to reach the end, to stretch out

With a clear goal: to cease being and lose itself

In the infinite ocean, where the river dissolves.

 

Just like us, the river runs toward its disappearance,

Toward a sure destiny we cannot halt,

Yet there is beauty along the way, a life to be lived,

And every bend, every nook, every stretch to traverse.

 

The river teaches us that life is a constant flow,

A moving forward, even in the face of adversity;

With strength or frailty, the river presses on,

Reminding us that it, too, holds beauty and truth.

 

What is the river if not an imitation of life?

A constant flow, an active journey.

In its simplicity lies a precious lesson:

That life, like the river, is the moment of the song!
